LC Saturday - Lucky me, I have consumed this delightful ale twice in less than two months - hey now! After all, this ale slaps.

Oak and port sweetness shine through on the back end. Check in on another btl in 12 months

Moderate acidity, notes of grapefruit rind and green apple, slightly nutty, a nice vinous quality, a bit of oxidative character, and some oak notes. #DecanterAndInappropriateGlassware #DealWithIt

Hele vreemde funky geur. Houdachtig. Weinig koolzuur. Niet helemaal mijn ding

Absolutely delicious, definitely leaning to 4.5. Tonnes of amazing funk, tartness pronounced but really not overwhelming. Some gentle prune-y notes from the port that are slightly odd but work.

smooth, funky, slight bite but think this would drink little better in a couple years. 4.30

Er gebeurd veel in je mond en alles is goed eigenlijk, het zoete aroma achtste afdronk en droge trekkende gevoel kloppen allemaal. Top top top

Slight tart, winey and very slight woody aroma, more woody, tannin, tart and fruity taste, drying astringent lingering

Port, grapefruit skin, stone fruit, wood, musty cellar. Great!

Still lots of (oxidized) port and dark fruits in the aroma, same in the taste followed by bitter grapefruit, stone fruit, musty, oaky.

Great beer. First sip was very metallic, but changed as it opened up. Fresh, appley, stone fruity, yet deep, funky and port wine. Beautiful.

I have to fully agree with the Untappd characteristics -- musty, woody, and rustic is pretty damn apt description. Surprisingly decent.

Not sure about that sweetness from the port barrel. But of course not bad. Thanks for the beer!

Lots of port barrel, decent amount of funk already, tart, vinous, oaky.

Cantillon funk, big port note, surprisingly fruity vibe into vinous sour note, woody / tangy finish. Low abv makes for a highly gluggable beer

Vraiment intéressant de goûter les différentes subtilités de la barrique chez Cantillon. Porto à fond en fin de bouche !

Darker yellow/pale color, fine white, yet unstable head, aroma: citrus, murky, wood, flavor: heavy red wine notes, dark red fruit, wood, acidic, overall rather heavy, maybe a bit apple/peach

Well done, balanced with just the right amount of funk

Massive beer! Quite a lot of port, very interesting evolution once the bottle is opened!

Bought from source in a pre-Covid world earlier this year 😌

Sourced from source by Stuart B. - delicious gueze, rich from the port barrels it's been aged in.
