Sang Bleu (2022)

Lambic - Fruit

Lambic blend with blue honeysuckle, or haskap, berries. For the past two years, we’ve been making a fruited blend with Camerise berries in small quantities. These berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity. We didn’t have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name.

Needs time. Tangy finish. Thin and light. Beautiful, yet quite youthful.

Rich, deep berry flavor, tart and a little earthy. Quite dry, a little astringent, very tasty.

It's fine. Nothing special. Fruit forward. No distractions. I think I drank half the bottle, no one went for a second pour. 🤣

Getting busy here; fancied a bottle share with BCC member Neil M. Usual Cantillon loveliness with this one. Gonna try pop back there on Tuesday.

Bottle share of lambic with the guardian of the galaxy David B. This is a tasty red berry full juicy slightly spritzy lambic. Darn good.

Very much the same Camerise lambic as I've had in the past including at Zwanze.

Untypical Cantillon. Fruity, bitter. A little light but very drinkable.

Even better than yesterday's bottle (my palette mightve been wrecked from all of the earlier bottles). Possibly the best lambic I've ever tried
