Glorious. Got so much time for Danish wild ales brewed with local varieties of cherries. This one brewed with Stevnbaer cherries. Rich with a deep cherry flavour, light tartness

Rosé de Gambrinus (2018) Pratt
Trying a kriek off. Both similar age. This is more acidic with more muted fruit character compared to the the 3F beer. There's always batch variation but this one has fallen off alarmingly compared to fresher bottles

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2019) Pratt

Round 7. Berry fruity, nice depth of flavour. The wine was pretty decent also.

Round 6. No idea which year. The wine is very tannic but passable, some port qualities. The beer I like, its subtly fruity in a good way

Round 5. It's D'Aunis innit, so it's great. The wine was pretty decent also tbf

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie es Belge Pratt
Round 4. Wine interesting, boozy, honey, oxidised, like weak mead. More depth to the beer, but I did get the dregs with this one
about 3 years ago
Round 3. Again I'm not keen on the (natural) wine - boozy & harsh - but the beer is loads better. Gentle grapey vibes with a dry finish
about 3 years ago
Round 2. The beer is plenty better than the wine which smells like paint stripper.

It is what it is. Not a massive fan of sweetened lambic but needed something to take the taste away after that last beer. Tart sweet cherries

Beer Republic advent day 6. Catching up. This one, it's kinda washing over me. Light & citrussy but there not much to it

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Pratt
Spritzy, mellow, funk. Apple peel & apricot skins. Always fine. There's a reason that Gueze ages so beautifully

Mild brandy barrel character. Nice rather than ace. Cheers Matt

Panicking like fuck when I found an inky blackness oozing under the cap. Thankfully it was fine at the other end of the cork. Uber dry floral elderflower funk. It's aged gracefully, tasting fine

Light tart Cantillon funk, mellow gueze with vinous, gently tannic port barrel vibes following in behind.

Sweet with lots of jammy cherries. Light funk. But overall it lacks the complexity of similar beers from other lambic Brewers

Blåbær Lambik (Blueberry Lambic) (2019) Pratt
Funky light acetic nose, on the taste it's all jammy blueberries. Straight up tart berries, there's not a whole load of complexity.

Couldn't resist another pour as this vintage is banging. All the jammy apricots
