Last night…Sent out the Compound with a proper tasting. Love this beer, but another loon that was slightly lacking compared to good batches of St Lam. Some rubber, vegetals, grape juice, mineral, rhubarb, and House funk. Not very jammy. Better as it sat

Aroma lots of red grapes, stale red fruit Taste: Semi-sweet, flavour of stale red fruits, cranberry, red grapes, funk, Apple tartness. Palate: medium body, medium carbonation Overall: Lots of grape-like notes

Last drops of old keg vs. new keg. Old keg has a lot more funky yeastiness. Vinous and heavy with tart grapey notes.

Sure, it may be the same as the 2011, but I would not be able to pick it out in a line-up. Red berries, less funk, less acidity. Less dimensionality but a profile I prefer.

Raspberry, sharp tart finish. Not a lot of complexity. Lively.

In de neus vooral veel blauwe druiven en wat hout. Matig zuur en vooral zeer vineus, zeker naarmate hij op kamertemperatuur komt.
