Cola. Goed gelukt op dat gebied, maar qua smaak is dit echt niet goed te hebben.

Vignerrone (2024) LVD

Lacks in tartness and fruitiness, kinda like the Fou Foune '22. It is quite sweet and juicy though. Grapes and white wine notes, which would go better with a more dry mouthfeel. Lesser than previous years.

Met 29°C is dit prima om tijdens het zwemmen te drinken.

Sang Bleu (2024) LVD

More fruit forward and less dry than previous batches. Grape notes are toned down. Red currant with subtle notes of blueberry, earthy. Quite acidic, vibrant and sweet.

Fou’ Foune (2023) LVD

Sweet, juicy, fruity. Fresh apricot juice. Still quite refreshing. Maybe a little less than older batches, but great on its own.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio LVD

Definitely better than fresh 2023. This 2022 release has loads more of the almond profile, while retaining fresh cherry.

Saint Lamvinus (2023) LVD

Almost flat. Red wine with loada of grapes. Dry and vinous. Pairs really well with meat.

Drogone Lambic 2023 LVD

Way less than previous batches. Almost flat with a nice grape flavour. Vinous, but less than last years. Loads of wood, especially oak and some earthy notes. Almost like an off-flavour.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2023) LVD

Juicy sweetness from citrusfruit and apricots. Less hop-forward than earlier batches, which I prefer a little more. Not as dry as well.

Saint Lamvinus (2023) LVD

Vinous, sour and well carbonated. Red wine, grapes and subtle citrus notes. Goes very well with smoked pulled pork.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio LVD

Amandel, een hintje kruidnagel en verse krieken. Zoetig en zuur mooi in balans. Vrij laag in carbonatie.

Grenache Noir 2021 LVD

Like a fine red wine. Really tannic, flat and vinous. Grapes, subtle notes of almond, wood.

Ashanti (2023) LVD

Quite mineral and fresh with aged hops, pepper and an astringent lasting sourness. Really like this addition.

Typische profiel van Boon, veel hout en erg droog. Citrus met groene appels.

Merkbaar wat gerijpt. Vrij dun en wat alcoholisch. Wel weer een aangename koffietoets.

Round two. This is one to watch. Not quite as good as previous batches (except last year's), but has potential. Fruity and sweet. Fresh apricot and peach. Nice tartness.

Iris (2023) LVD

Really fresh. Hop forward profile. Bitter and quite malty. Getting some American Barleywine vibes here.

Goed jaar. Een stuk lichter van smaak dan 2022. Verfrissend en doordrinkbaar, maar ook enorm fruitig met abrikozen en perzik. Een wrang randje. Deze gaat het goed doen de komende jaren.

Piacere (2022) LVD

Zelfs op vakantie een flesje kunnen drinken. Lambiek gemacereerd op Ciliegiolo druiven. Tonen van druif en kers, een hintje amandel en een vineuse dronk.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2018) LVD

Enorm droog. Tonen appel en citrus. Sinaasappelschil. Een tikkeltje wrang en een subtiele sinaasappelbitter. Door de hogere carbonatie best verfrissend nog.

Iris LVD

2022. Loads of citrus. Bitter, dry and sweet. Subtle malty character with a touch of caramel. Notes of faded hops.

Drogone Lambic (2023) LVD

A lot more flat than the previous batch. Literally fruited Lambic with notes of grapes, red currant and almond. Very soft, subtle and a little dry.

Magic Lambic (2022) LVD

Sweet raspberries with a touch of blueberries. Really fruity and smooth. Great blend.

Sang Bleu (2023) LVD

Grapes, berries and even some acidic plums. Great blend. Really refreshing with 30 degrees.

Scarabée LVD

Dry white wine profile with a subtle sweetness. Loads of grape skins and the Gewürztraminer is really recognizable. It actually reminds me of Antidoot Alsace. Tart and quite tannic.

Magic Lambic (2022) LVD

I actually believe this blend is better than previous years. The vanilla and sweetness is more noticeable. Raspberries dominate the palette, but I get a touch of earthy blueberries as well.

Just like red wine. Would be great for introducing Lambic to wine drinkers.

I can taste grapes even though it's macerated on haskap berries. Better than the latest batches of Camerise. Great addition to the seasonal range.

Lambic D'Aunis 2020 LVD

Better than I remember, quite full, but still really soft. Subtle sweetness, but no match for the dryness. Grapes, tannic and notes of red wine. Smooth and balanced.

Menu Pinea (2020) LVD

One of my favourites. White wine, grapes, apple and and subtle funky notes with some wood. Quite sweet with an acidic bite. I really hope this one gets a release soon.

Tarlantillon LVD

Wow, easily one of the best Cantillons I've ever had! It's a blend from Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines with 2 year old Lambic.. Very Lambic forward with subtle vinous notes and grapes! Quite acidic and juicy, but also refreshing..

Drogone Lambic (2022) LVD

Compared to the wine, which is very good by the way! The grapes are very recognisable in the lambic, a lot less dry, a little bit more sweet, vinous and a nice base profile! I would like to say it's a bit better than the 2021.. 4,25+

LCI.. Zalm in zuur gegaard, waar Cantillon zich heel goed voor leent! Inmiddels zitten we qua jaartal al in 2022.. Niet de meest geweldige blend, behoorlijk zuur!

In vergelijking met '22, waarbij meteen duidelijk is dat deze stukken beter is! Lichter en meer koolzuur, waardoor deze minder zwaar aanvoelt en een stuk verfrissender is.. Het fruit is ook beter aanwezig met toevoeging van ander steenfruit! #kraambezoek

Definitely one of the lesser Fou's in terms of sheer juicy- and tartness.. I know Fou needs a year or two to really shine, but something is a little off with this blend.. Less acidity and tart apricot flavour, but by any means it's not bad!

Puur Weizen LVD

Er bestaat zoiets als te veel banaan.. Overrijpe snoep banaantjes met een hintje karamel, gaat wat tegenzitten.. Verder een prima Weizen!

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2018) LVD

Alweer 4 jaar op de teller, maar stil kicking strong! Typische Cantillon funk met een stevige zuurheid en nog steeds erg veel fruit! De veroudering proef je wel in het fruit terug: gekonfijt fruit jam-achtig! Tonen van amandel em eem hintje nootmuskaat!

Sophia Lambic (2020) LVD

Sweet and also quite dry.. It's vinous like a good white wine with an almost creamy body! In taste there are still some red apple notes but definitely no applesauce like the previous batches.. A lot more balance between fruits like nectarine and grapes!

Piacere LVD

Grape-like, even a little vinous, but with cherry and raspberry notes! Red fruit profile with a nice sweetness, not very tannic and dry.. Very fruity and very good!

Racine 2022 LVD

Starts pretty sour, even acidic with a spritzy carbonation making it pretty refreshing! Citrusfruit like lemons with some musty grape profile from the Chardonnay, Tokay and Sauvignon Blanc.. Couldn't guess the grapes if you asked me, except the latter..

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2017) LVD

Loads of funk and hay, tart and dry with fruity notes of apple and tangerine! Developing very nicely and still had a lot of aging potential.. Soft and smooth!

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) 2022 LVD

I always enjoy this one! Why the uniqe check-in? This batch has a juicy and creamy mouthfeel, almost like it's ropey.. Sweet, apricot skins, lemon and citrus! And hops, don't forget the hops!

2018, dus vrij vers! Zuur en gortdroog met veel citrus, waarvan sinaasappel en mandarijn..

Vigneronne (2021) LVD

I find this year's batch quite more sweet and less dry than last years.. This creates a nice balance between vinous white wine notes and the sweet juicy, but still refreshing, grapes and citrusfruit! Lacks a little in depth because of this..

Mamouche LVD

2021 and has yet to achieve it's full potential.. I can taste the elderflower, but the green bell pepper is still there, even though it's more subtle than fresh.. Very good, but still needs some time!

Clean and dry! Woody, tart and citrusfruit of which lemon, apple and tangerine are the most noticable.. Probably (one of) the most likeable beers from Boon!

Cantillo Cuvée Des Champions (2021) LVD

Ik hou bij voorbaat al van die gehopte lambiek, dus dit is een makkelijke win voor mij, maar die Engelse hops maken 'm net dat tikkeltje beter dan bijvoorbeeld de CSG! Bloemig, stevig gehopt, citrus, citroen en een mooie carbonatie!

Saint Lamvinus (2018) LVD

Inmiddels alweer een paar jaartjes ouder wat 'm heel zacht en doordrinkbaar maakt! Heerlijke Merlot en Cabernet druiven en een behoorlijk vineuze dronk! De droogheid valt daarentegen heel erg mee en er is een mooie balans met de lambiek.. Beter dan vers!

Nath (2018) LVD

Dit is even een partij anders na 3 jaar! De zwavel is vrijwel volledig weg, evenals een groot deel van de scherp zurige rabarber.. De onderliggende Gueuze is veel meer naar boven gekomen en dat geeft een prachtige balans!

Le Plaisir LVD

Hmmm.. Definitely changed in the last few months.. Grapes and lemon all over the palette with a lingering sweetness! Good, but liked it a lot better a few months ago..

Drogone Lambic (2021) LVD

Dry, subtle, red fruit and a lot of tannins from the barrel! The experimental version was way more similar to the Drogone wine.. This one is good, but a little bit to subtle and rather sour instead of vinous..

Fresh! Apricot, highly carbonated (more than I'm used to), juicy, fruity and sweetness! Definitely less than previous year(s), like 2019 and 2020.. But time will tell, as I like my Fou better after at least 1 year! Glad to have a few bottles..

Gerijpte Herfstbok 2015 LVD

Vrijwel plat met tonen van karamel, toffee en subtiele sherry hinten.. Een notig aroma, waarvan het subtiel aan amaretto doet denken met een hintje oxidatie! Niet vervelend en erg goed te hebben! Net wat beter dan een versere variant..

Magnum! Very smooth, soft and woody! Dry, tannic and a lot of citrusfruit like lemon and even more mandarin.. Should contain a small portion of Armagnac, but this isn't noticeable..

LCI.. Ik vermoed dat deze wat te vers is, al betekend dat gelukkig niet dat dit een zwavelbommetje is! Vers rabarbersap, wat juicy en een aanhoudend zoetje met een zachte droogheid! Een stuk zuurder dan de meeste Cantillon en mist daardoor aan balans..

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°6 LVD

Geregistreerd partnerschap! Beter dan de voorgaande versies, met name de nr. 4 en 5! Droog, hooi, Brett en groene appels met een hintje citroen..

Cantillo Cuvée Des Champions (2021) LVD

Pleasantly surprised! The big difference between this one and the Gilloise is the type of hops used.. This one has Bramling Cross hops instead of Hallertau.. Nice bitter, hoppy and floral Lambic, well carbonated and slightly thick from the ropiness!

Gewurztraminer Lambic (2020) LVD

Definitely more subtle than the Muscat.. Less sweet and more dry! Actually like this one slightly better! Grapes, grape skins, tart and a subtle note of sulphur in the backend.. Also some citrus notes from the Lambic!

Muscat Petits Grains LVD

Smells of sweet grapes, but in taste it's a lot more complex.. A lot of grapes, grape skins, sweet juicy notes, dry and vinous aftertaste, like a sweet white wine! Really well integrated into the lambic!

Lambic Jaune (2016) LVD

Predecessor of La Vie Est Belge: Lambic Jaune! Great lambic, with a soft carbonation! The 2016 variant was to reproduce the 2014 experiments which would later turn out to get the current name.. Loads of wood, subtle grape and citrus notes!

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021) LVD

Kinda dissapointed.. Lacks in the sulphuric freshness of previous batches, but keeps the acidic sourness which is a plus! Effervescent, fruity notes of the shoeberries and almost creamy.. Subtle notes of green bell pepper which I haven't noticed before..

CLAC! (Trois Cépages) (2019) LVD

Great and complex grape profile with skins, juice and pits! Nicely balanced in dry, sweet and tart notes.. For me this is one of the best grape blends from Cantillon!

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) LVD

After almost three years we meet again.. Still one of my favourites from Cantillon! A refreshing 2-year old 'Gueuze' with Hallertau hops, which are quite noticeable! Fruity citrus notes like lemon, apple and tangerine.. Even some peach!

Camerise Lambic (2020) LVD

Actually like the 2019 a little bit better, but that could be my fading memory.. Nice notes of different fruits! Subtle cherry, red berries, blueberry and cassis.. Full on fruity flavor with a touch of vanilla!

Vinsanto 2020 LVD

Really sharp grape tones with strong white wine notes! Almost so sharp it give a subtle flavor that reminds me of peatiness.. It grows on you while time passes, pro-tip: let it open up a little!

Le Plaisir LVD

Quite acidic and sweet, but very nice grape notes!

Trousseau Lambic LVD

Earthy and soft grapeskins with a subtle note of cherry and a really dry aftertaste with a lasting sweet note! Good one, but lesser than what I'm used to..

Oude Geuze A L’Ancienne VAT 108bis Mono Blend LVD

Let's take a moment for the disassembled foeder 108.. It will be a great loss, since it produced the best Lambic for Boon! Great balance between sour, tannins, funk and citrus!

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2020) LVD

A nice sweet blend with fruity notes of apricot, peach and other stonefruit! A subtle dry note with some typical Cantillon funk.. Borderline of to sweet!
