New vintage. Great cherry and strawberry vibes, very round. Quite better than last couple vintages. Refined.

First beer wine that resembles each other in the nose. Wine: light pepper note, very dry taninic, hint of raspberry. Beer: wine forward with fruity and peppery notes. Funk. Light citrus.

#5 light pairing. Aunis seems to be less fizzy than I remembe

Straight juice pairing. This beer has never had much complexity for me. Definitely great grape flavors though. Probably the last batch according to JH.

Beer #5 during today’s “Into the Wine” tasting conducted by Moeder Lambic & Cantillon in Salle Ogivale at Hotel de Ville on Grand Place in Brussels. What an amazing experience!

Finally a red! Lovely red wine nose of dark grape, black pepper, hints of red bell pepper. Medium-dry finish. Lovely.

The beer is much bolder and aggressive than the wine version. Both are fantastic. I want the wine now (pictured)

4.35. So interesting and also different from the usual aunis. Spicy, so much peppery, really like no other, a bit of cinnamon, then the wine shows a bit shy. Good, not the best vintage.

4.35. Fruity. Less aroma than wine.

EB Quintessence Trip April 16-19. Crushable summer delight with just enough tannins and funk to make it interesting.

As good as 2019, that says a lot. The peppery character is really upfront which I love, and it still has a huge fruitiness to it. Grape concentration is a bit higher in this one and you can tell. Great tribute to Olivier Lemasson, may he rest in peace.

15 avril. Salle Ogivale Tasting Moeder. J’ai jamais trippé sur Lambic d’Aunis. Je trouve difficile de faire ressortir le cépage dans la bière, je trouve que ça apporte peu. Le vin lui était fucking bon!!!! Trop glou glou. RIP Olivier though

#lambiclauantai. Vinous, tart and slightly sour with some funky farmyardy notes, grapes and spicy earthiness
