Drinking good, has a lot of life left.

Some beers deserve a check-in. One less on my must tick list

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2023) Stammler
This is one fruity bastard. Super cinnamon forward.

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2014) Stammler
Great but clearly not the same process as newer LVEB. Geuze with a twist. Prefer my newer curry walnut bombs. However likely bottle variation. Happy to have picked up my 2nd bottle of LVEB this weekend to age 🍻

Today on par with LVEB. First time another Cantillon has been able to do that.

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2019) Stammler
Curry galore last time around. Lci just realized I never checked in the 2019 vintage.

Lambic Grenache Blanc (2021) Stammler
Young, syrupy, glou glou canti. Classic white grape trend as of late. Should develop nicely tho.

Soleil de Minuit 1999 Stammler
JvR confirmed test batch was actually b1. B1 is always best!

Lou Pepe Kriek (2009) Stammler
Tasty! Just no chance against Oure Kriek, objectively however a great beer! The fact that we all forgot about it says a lot.

Pineau d’Aunis (2014) Stammler
Enjoyed this the least, in general the wine blends here did somewhat disappoint/pale in comparison. Herbacious, winey, salty, medium acidity.
Bloody, meaty, medium high acidity, feet (almost) [lol], lightly jammy.

Hjortron Nouveau (1999) Stammler
The history of the beer, but when it backs it up. Cloudberry is mire timid but the lambic backbone shines. Perfect harmony. Insane! 💥

Thanks Justin very different from the regular version.

All the curry! Confirmed as the best beer in the world.

Not as vanilla forward. One of the better vintages for me

Sweet spot age wise! Thanks 2gueze1cup again for sharing the beer and really nice meeting y‘all!

Drainpour, second time in a row. If it‘s a good bottle its up there with the best, this was liquid plastic phenols in a glass 🙁

CLAC! (Trois Cépages) (2019) Stammler
Surprise of the day for me. Stellar stellar beer. Kept going back, even over Nuit. Lighter body, but super complex. Grape varietal in this 🤌

Very good, aged much more too my liking than I expected. Loads of aged cantillon geuze. Light grape sweetness and timid fruitiness on the finish. Vig can probs never be a 5 for me but this was damn close.

Pastry lambic redefined. Bury me in a case load of this. I loved it 🤣

Very balanced, drinking great. Was a bit overpowered by the other beers that day.

One of the surprises of the day for me. Really really good! Vinsanto all over this!

Probably bottle variation, but this was boring as hell and not worth any of the praise I keep hearing. Disappointment of the day for me.

Wasn‘t a stand out that day. Also some sulphur notes.

One of the best cantillon geuzes I‘ve had recently.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Stammler
Made me fall in love with ba stouts. Still tasty although nowhere near new school ba stout.

Upranking this since last I had it, it was flat and from a bag. Now bottled and carbed this is juicy sweet mirabelle. Mirabelle is my favorite fruit so +.25 for personal preference. Plum tartness and apricot juiciness. Winner. Also one of my fav labels!

Drogone Lambic (2020) Stammler
I think it lacks a tad bit of complexity but it will be a phenomenal beer. Age this 3-4 year and your will have a stunner. Glad to have had it, no bottle pic due to numbering reasons!

3 time having this, drinking absolutely dreadful atm. I hope this get back to where it was... the wine was better 🙁

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2021) Stammler
By far the worst fresh Kriek I‘ve had. Wow this is super toned down, funky as hell, non fruity almost Rosé syrupy. I want dark Kriek back!!!

Rosé de Gambrinus (2019) Stammler
LCI: accidental ice lambic. Thus, My favorite Rose to date. Don‘t really like this tbh. No ratings.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2018) Stammler
For me the max Cantillon geuze can hit. Canti funk, lemony, bitter, smooth, balanced. Older too sour, younger too sweet. For me 3-5 years really is peak.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2018) Stammler
Lemony, vinegary, light funk, slight sweetness. Acidic on the nose, bretty on the palate. Just what I was craving. Always have a bunch of these in your cellar. Now David S. send some Girardin please 😂🧡

Beer Geek Cocoa Shake BA Whisky Vanilla Rum Stammler
So much better with the added age. Not as edgy anymore. Smoother and less aggressive boozy. Phenomenal outing by Mikkeller. Thanks Jonathan W. for the can!
