I legitimately cannot accurately describe that flavour

Stoked to score one of the last pours. I love super briney flavours in food, so perhaps unsurprisingly I’m not hating this. Full on brine for sure, but surprised how much the apricot comes through.

I can see why people hate this but this lowkey tastes like black truffle and sea salt.

Pretty salt. Like gose lambic. Tastes kind of like mussels

Seaweed smell but couldn’t taste much. A balanced gueze with mineral texture. Light and gentle.

Well, it was certainly interesting. Very unlike any other Cantillon I've ever had. Ultimately, judging it purely on its individual merits, I found it enjoyable. Very briny, a bit salty, lemony, iodine, and "fresh-from-the-sea" tastiness. 4.25

Left: The low ratings are comical, probably people disgusted by the description but this was pretty solid

Quite MOR this year - despite the tiny sushi roll at BMT not really that much salinity?

Wow. Very ocean-y. Loads of salinity & minerality. Oddly sweeter than you'd expect.

Tell me why a seaweed lambic tastes like banana bread??

Such an amazing Gueze. Honored to drink this, as Garden Path/Great Northern was the only establishment in the state of Washington that got this beer. The notes of sea lettuce/salt water were present in the nose, but more subtle in the tasting. Wonderful!

It was interesting. Smell was strong, but the flavor was well balanced between lambic and abalone. Glad I got to try. Thanks for having Zwanze Day at Pour Company!

Salt, lemon and odd fruit on the nose with iodine in the undertone. Tart and bitter on the tongue. As it warms the odd notes in the nose come forward and into the taste. Aggressively salty by the end e with powerful iodine flavors. Weird beer!

Did I just pay to drink the water they washed the dishes with at a sushi restaurant?

Not my style. But they achieved what they wanted. Saltwater beer. Extreme salinity. Drinking the ocean

Not gonna lie, not the biggest fan of this year's Zwanze. The nose on this is super seaweed which really throws me off due to its briney umami and saline dominant profile. It does open up after a few sips, smooth mouthfeel, w apricot and mango stone fruit

Zwanze. Fruit punch nose with an oyster V8 finish

Udało się jeszcze dorwać. No bardzo smaczne.

This was very kelp forward. I couldn’t smell it while drinking it. The smell was worse than the taste. It just became grating to drink after a while.

Pouring from the 'outside' bar. Much more complex, more saltiness and umani. The difference between the 'inside' and 'outside' pourings is really disappointing.

I tried a few glasses, still tasting apple jam! A hint of salinity and kelp, some umami, but not on the main stage. I quite like it.
