LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. It is unfortunate that the producer involved in this blend did some sketchy things in paying their farmers less than they should have. So this beer will never be made again. It’s tasting fantastic though 🤷‍♂️

LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. More enjoyable each time…

LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. This beer exemplifies exactly why Cantillon geuze should be aged. Exploding with complexity and multiple layers of funk, and lambic characteristics. I’ll spare you the typical adjectives

LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. One of the more anticipated photos from the session. Unlike the previous session, I very much enjoyed this bottle. The lees provided the subtlety it needed. I enjoyed it much more than the the blend that was decided upon

LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. Surprisingly zero ropiness or rubber band flavors. Maybe Jean has some aging tips he can share? Or the beer is rebounding after a year or 2 of strange tastes.

LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. One of my favorites from the tasting. The grapes are all but gone, however the geuze that remains is quite exquisite

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2012) M
LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. With this beer it is always the subtlety. The palate must be refined to enjoy as it remains light, but the barrel character is there. (unlabeled bottle)

LCI. Moeder OG OBD tasting. Definitely feeling the acidic balsamic vibes. Not at all unpleasant

Mild, oxidative notes. Over the hill, but not off putting

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2022) M
So young. Not getting a lot of nuttiness in comparison to the wine, yet the complexity should increase over time. Pretty amazing so young nonetheless

Also extremely young. So fresh and crispy. Definitely more of an impact with lambic.

LCI. Seems currently on the downward part of the Lambic aging parabola. Should come back around soonish

This anus is particularly more developed than the recent past.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2009) M
Pretty well cellared. No off flavors. Dry musty funk. Still growing and would still be fine and even more complex after 10 more years probably.

Hard to believe that after tonight Mikkeller is out of the USA completely. Where have all the beer drinkers gone? The beer is very good. Tastes super healthy. Spot on.

A little better than I remember. Maybe because I paired it with an Indian sandwich. Nice gentle cardamom vibes.

LCI Symbiose member bottle share. This bottle surprises me every time. Always different characteristics. Wish I had a 750 to age 10-20 years.

Excellent. Thanks Adnan A. Seriously don’t understand the ratings on this beer.

Easily my least fave. Overwhelmed by saltiness and minerality. Not a bad lambic, just inferior to other vintages

Young, but probably the best vintage overall. The recipe is really dialed in. Beautiful

Starting to taste young with this one. Getting the lemony and grassy notes. Very crisp, mild funk toe jam notes.

Quite improved actually since my last taste 4 years ago. Rhubarb funk blending nicely with lambic.

More woody and rich. Possibly slightly corked, but still dope. Will be very interesting to see if this one takes a turn for the worse or improves.

Celebrating being the biggest loon ticket in the world. This one still has plenty of time to improve. Tasting fantastic now.

Totally flat and still. The schaarbeekse comes through, but not the best bottle.

Complete megablend vert at Thomas’s. Flat. Yummy. Less oxidized, but a little unbalanced. These age so fast for some reason.
